Rob Tidey Coaching — Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 August 2026

These Terms of Service apply to coaching services provided by Rob Tidey Coaching (“I”, “me”, “my”) to you (“you”, “the client”).

By purchasing a coaching subscription, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.

1. Coaching Services

Rob Tidey Coaching provides personalised fitness, nutrition and weight-management coaching.

Depending on the package selected, coaching may include:

  • personalised training programming

  • access to the ABC Trainerize app

  • nutrition and weight-management coaching

  • calorie and protein guidance

  • meal suggestions and recipes

  • weekly check-ins and accountability

  • progress tracking

  • programme adjustments

  • WhatsApp support

  • online coaching calls

  • in-person coaching sessions

The exact services included depend on the package purchased.

2. Coaching Packages

Online Coaching — £129 per month

Includes personalised training, nutrition and weight-management coaching, weekly check-ins, progress tracking, programme adjustments, Trainerize access, WhatsApp support and one 30-minute coaching call each month.

Hybrid Coaching — £169 per month

In-person sessions take place at my private training studio in Tunbridge Wells unless otherwise agreed.

Hybrid+ Coaching — £199 per month

Includes the Online Coaching service together with two 60-minute in-person coaching sessions each month.

In-person sessions take place at my private training studio in Tunbridge Wells unless otherwise agreed.

3. Minimum Commitment and Ongoing Subscription

All coaching packages have an initial minimum commitment of three months.

Payment is taken monthly using the payment method provided when you subscribe.

After the initial three-month commitment, your coaching continues on a rolling monthly basis until cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

Your subscription does not automatically end after three months.

The three-month minimum commitment will be clearly communicated before purchase.

4. Cancelling Your Coaching

After the initial minimum commitment, you may cancel your coaching by providing one month's notice.

You may give notice before the end of your minimum commitment provided that your cancellation takes effect no earlier than the end of the minimum commitment.

For example, you do not need to wait until the three months have finished before telling me that you wish to leave.

Cancellation requests can be made by emailing:

rob@robtideycoaching.com

I will confirm receipt of your cancellation request.

This approach is important because UK guidance warns against minimum-term contracts that prevent consumers from giving notice until after the minimum period has already ended, effectively extending the minimum commitment.

5. Cooling-Off Period

Where you purchase coaching online or otherwise enter into a distance contract, you will normally have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period beginning after the contract is entered into.

If you ask me to begin providing coaching during this period, you expressly request that the service begins before the cooling-off period has expired.

If you subsequently exercise a statutory right to cancel during the cooling-off period after services have begun at your request, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already supplied, where permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Current UK rules specifically address starting a service within the cancellation period and proportionate payment for services supplied following the consumer's express request.

Important for us: when we finish Stripe, I want to make sure the checkout/onboarding captures the client's request to start coaching immediately rather than simply burying this in the Terms.

6. Payments

Subscription fees are charged monthly in advance.

You authorise the payment provider used by Rob Tidey Coaching to charge your chosen payment method for each recurring monthly payment.

If a payment fails, I may contact you to arrange payment and may temporarily suspend coaching services until the outstanding payment has been resolved.

Prices will not be changed during your initial minimum commitment.

If subscription prices subsequently change, reasonable advance notice will be provided before the new price applies to you.

7. Refunds

Payments already made are generally non-refundable once the relevant coaching period has begun, except where:

  • you have a statutory right to a refund;

  • I am unable to provide the agreed service; or

  • we otherwise agree that a refund is appropriate.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

Any cancellation charge or retention of advance payments must remain fair under consumer law; simply putting a non-refundable clause into a contract does not automatically make it enforceable.

8. In-Person Coaching Sessions

This section applies to Hybrid and Hybrid+ clients.

Sessions should be booked in advance at mutually agreed times.

If you need to reschedule an in-person session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice wherever possible.

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, may be treated as used except where I agree otherwise due to exceptional circumstances.

If I need to cancel a session, the session will be rearranged and will not be lost.

9. Unused In-Person Sessions

In-person sessions are allocated as part of each monthly coaching subscription.

Unused sessions do not automatically accumulate indefinitely.

Where reasonably possible, I will work with you to rearrange a session within an appropriate period, particularly where illness, family circumstances or another genuine issue has affected attendance.

This policy is intended to keep coaching flexible while ensuring that appointment capacity can be managed fairly for all clients.

10. Pausing Coaching

I understand that illness, injury, family circumstances and other significant events can occasionally make coaching temporarily impractical.

Pauses are therefore considered on a case-by-case basis.

Any agreed pause, including its duration and effect on payments or the minimum commitment, will be confirmed in writing.

A pause is not automatic and must be agreed before subscription payments are stopped.

11. Your Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and relevant information about your health, fitness, injuries, medications and other circumstances that may affect your ability to exercise safely.

You are responsible for:

  • completing requested health-screening information honestly;

  • informing me of relevant changes to your health;

  • exercising within your capabilities;

  • following safety instructions during training;

  • seeking appropriate medical advice where necessary; and

  • stopping exercise and seeking appropriate assistance if you experience concerning symptoms.

You should not disregard professional medical advice because of information provided through coaching.

12. Health and Medical Disclaimer

Fitness coaching is not medical treatment.

I do not diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions.

Training programmes and coaching recommendations are based on the information you provide and are intended to support general fitness, health and weight-management goals.

Where a medical condition, injury, medication or other circumstance may affect your ability to exercise or make dietary changes safely, I may ask you to obtain appropriate medical clearance before participating.

13. Nutrition and Weight-Management Coaching

Nutrition coaching is educational and behavioural in nature.

It may include guidance around calories, protein, food choices, eating habits, meal ideas and sustainable weight-management strategies.

Unless separately qualified and acting within an appropriate regulated clinical scope, nutrition coaching is not intended to diagnose or treat medical conditions or replace advice from a doctor, registered dietitian or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Where your needs fall outside my professional scope, I may recommend that you seek support from an appropriate healthcare professional.

14. Results

I will provide coaching, guidance, accountability and support designed to help you work towards your goals.

However, individual results vary.

Results depend on many factors including consistency, adherence, lifestyle, health, training history and circumstances outside my control.

I therefore cannot guarantee a particular amount of weight loss, muscle gain, strength improvement or other specific outcome.

15. Trainerize, WhatsApp and Third-Party Services

Parts of the coaching service may be delivered using third-party platforms including ABC Trainerize, WhatsApp and payment-processing services.

Your use of those platforms may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

I am not responsible for temporary outages, technical problems or changes to third-party platforms that are outside my reasonable control.

Where practical, I will use alternative communication methods if a platform becomes temporarily unavailable.

16. Communication and Support

WhatsApp support is intended for reasonable coaching questions, updates and support between formal check-ins.

It is not an emergency or 24-hour service.

I will aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe but cannot guarantee immediate responses.

For medical emergencies or urgent health concerns, you should contact the appropriate healthcare or emergency service rather than using coaching communication channels.

17. Client Conduct

Coaching depends on a respectful working relationship.

I reserve the right to end coaching where there is abusive, threatening, discriminatory or otherwise seriously inappropriate behaviour.

I may also terminate coaching where continuing the coaching relationship would, in my reasonable professional judgement, be inappropriate or unsafe.

Where I terminate coaching other than because of a serious breach by you, any payment covering services that will no longer be supplied will be dealt with fairly and, where appropriate, refunded proportionately.

18. Intellectual Property

Training programmes, coaching materials, guides, resources and other materials supplied as part of coaching are provided for your personal use.

They must not be copied, sold, published, distributed or used commercially without my permission.

19. Photos, Testimonials and Client Results

Your progress photographs, testimonials or personal results will not be used publicly for marketing purposes without your permission.

Any separate consent to use photographs, testimonials or results can be withdrawn for future use by contacting me, subject to material that has already lawfully been published or produced.

20. Personal Data and Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with applicable UK data-protection law and the Rob Tidey Coaching Privacy Policy.

Health and fitness information may be required in order to provide coaching safely and effectively.

Further information about how personal information is collected, stored and used is available in the Privacy Policy.

21. Changes to the Coaching Service

I may occasionally make reasonable changes to how coaching is delivered, including changes to software, communication methods or administrative processes.

Any change that materially affects the service you have purchased will be communicated to you.

I will not materially reduce your agreed service during your minimum commitment without your agreement or an appropriate alternative being provided.

22. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated occasionally to reflect changes to the service, business or applicable law.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights you already have.

Where a material change affects an existing subscription, I will provide reasonable notice where required.

23. Liability and Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

24. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If a dispute arises, we will first try to resolve it reasonably and directly.

Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights you may have regarding where proceedings can be brought.
